Diamond Resorts International, CEO And The "Undercover Boss" TV Show!

January 17, 2012

What A Surprise!  Diamond Resorts CEO On “Undercover Boss”

Diamond Resorts CEO Had Us Both In Tears By The End Of The Show……

One of our favorite TV shows is “Undercover Boss” on Sunday evenings.  So, it was a surprise when this segment was about Diamond Resorts International and its founder, Stephen J. Clookbeck.  As in  all the other previous “Undercover Boss” shows, he was going to visit some of his Diamond Resorts disguised as a potential employee applying for various positions.

I mentioned to my wife that this should be interesting because I had written about Diamond Resorts in a previous post. By the end of the show,  we both had tears in our eyes and both required tissues. If you didn’t know anything about Diamond Resorts and their motto, ” Yes, we can,” you would have had tears in your eyes, also. We had tears because Mr Clookbeck generously rewarded 3-4 employees with whom he had met and worked  during his “Undercover Boss” experiences.

Now, to be fair, my wife and I are not advocates of the RCI points. We own 3 deeded weeks of time share properties that we purchased, on the resale market, with a total overall investment of $3,400. Two deeded weeks are at two different 5-Star resorts in Minnesota, and  one deeded week is at another 5-Star resort in Missouri.  We love deeded, fixed weeks at 5- Star resorts that have  no affiliation to any type of RCI points.

We will admit to staying at Diamond Resorts, in the past,  that have dual affiliations. One was the Sedona Summit in Sedona, Arizona. We absolutely loved the accommodations and wrote an article about the resort which we would highly recommend.

Now, here is  another side of the story. This is one good reason that you might want to visit a time share resort in which you may be interested  purchasing, on the resale market, before making a purchase. Check out the problems at a particular resort in Hawaii which is owned by Diamond Resorts.  We wrote about this in a previous post. Click Here for that story. Those angry, time share Diamond Resorts owners started their own web page on Facebook.    Click Here  for that story.  One more page you should check is on the TUG2.net Forum Board about the remarks on Diamond Resorts.

We report, you decide.

We are including links to other time share web sites that you may have an interest in researching. Thank You for visiting us.
