Actions of the TSA and what is happening to our rights as Americans scares me. You’ve all seen the news reports of how our government is taking away our rights as American citizens. I remember a few years ago, while in Arizona, taking my 86 year old father to the small airport near Mesa, AZ.  With no long lines, it was fairly easy to check in. My father walked with a cane because he had had an artificial hip replacement causing him to walk slowly. He appeared to be a perfect terrorist, right? Well, he had to sit down and take off his shoes and his belt.  I watched the whole process which that airport used since  the airport didn’t have the newer, stand- up scanners. I remember thinking, “What is happening to our country? What a shame. Making older people, obviously  Americans, go through this process.”  It was not an easy thing to watch.

I know, I know, some of you liberals are saying or thinking, “It’s for our own safety.”  That may be true, but this new TSA government search and pat -down has nothing to do with common sense in this country. Click on the following TSA incident which happened at a small airport in Wyoming. There is no reason that this type of incident should ever have happened in America. The TSA is out of control, not respectful of our individual rights as American citizens. That’s why my wife and I drive to our timeshare destinations. Now, that is becoming more and more difficult because of the rising gasoline prices which take away funds from the other things we would like to do when we visit timeshare resorts.
