Have You Forgotten The Timeshare Ownership Benefits At Breezy Point, Minnesota?

Feb.3, 2012

Sometimes We Forget Our Timeshare Ownership Benefits

Have You Forgotten The Timeshare Ownership Benefits You Originally Purchased ?

As most of you already know, my wife and I own 3  deeded timeshare weeks. Two deeded timeshare weeks are here in Minnesota , one at The Village At Izatys on Mille Lacs , another at Pelican Greens at Breezy Point International, and  the third deeded week is at Tree Top Village in Missouri. Because all three timeshare weeks cost us less than $3,400 total, we have not had to make monthly loan payments on any of these deeded weeks.  All we have each year is the maintenance fees which total less than $150 per month total. What that means in simple terms is by setting aside $150 per month we enjoy 3 solid timeshare vacation weeks each year at the best 5 Star Resorts in the United States. That breaks down to $72 per day to stay in these great resorts.

Let me refresh your memory about timeshare ownership benefits at Breezy Point International here in Minnesota.  Many of you probably live within a 400 mile radius of this fabulous resort. Most of you know that there are 11 timeshare associations with two management companies working with each building’s Board of Directors. The two management companies handle the day- to-day routines of resort management. Narveson Management, Inc., located at 6810 County Road 11, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472-3110 handles Pelican Greens, the timeshare building  in which we have our timeshare unit .

Because we live within 3 hours of the resort, we love the timeshare ownership benefits offered by owning at Pelican Greens.  These same benefits apply to all timeshare owners in each of the 11 timeshare associations.

Here are the benefits and privileges with owning at Breezy Point.

  1. Free during your week – Boat Slip, Canoe, Kayak, and Paddle Boat Use
  2. Discounts of 25% off of Golf Green Fees, 50% Off of Fishing Boat/Motor Rentals (Mon-Fri), 50% Off of Pontoon Rentals (Mon-Fri)

Note: Additionally during your week and year round for Owners

Tennis Courts, Breezy Center Indoor Pool, and High Village Indoor Pool,

Pelican Center - Can be used anytime by Breezy Point Timeshare Owners

Boat Launching, Beach Areas, Cross-Country Ski Trails, Cross-Country Ski, Ice Skating Rink, & Sauna. Everything, of course, is subject to availability of facilities.

What we are saying is that the facilities can be used even if you wish to only drive to the resort for the day. That’s what the timeshare ownership benefits are. Not just the week when you use your timeshare, but anytime.

Timeshare ownership benefits include the exercise room in the Pelican Center- 2nd floor above the indoor pool, and the use of indoor basketball and volley ball courts.

So, with traveling costs so expensive today, you may want to re-consider and enjoy your timeshare ownership benefits at Breezy Point International, stay closer to home, and use the benefits for other times like when you want to just drive to the resort and use it for the day.

Pelican Greens Annual Timeshare Meeting At Breezy Point, MN

Feb 2, 2012

A Report On Our Annual Pelican Greens Timeshare Meeting

January 21, 2012 Was Our Pelican Greens Annual Meeting

Since my wife and I live only 2.5 hrs away from the  RCI affiliated Breezy Point Resort in Northern Minnesota that we had recently purchased on the re-sale market.  This is the deeded Spring/Summer week we’ve mentioned in other articles that we purchased in Pelican Greens for $400. We decided to attend the annual meeting in order to be more familiar with the members of  the Board of Directors of Pelican Greens  as well as to discover more about how our maintenance fees contribute to the upkeep of our unit.

Pelican Greens Board Of Directors - Jan. 21, 2012

We were able to understand  first- hand what decisions were made concerning  the units and to add some input if we had any ideas worth considering.  What impressed my wife and I was how Read the rest of this entry »

Hoorah! Our Three 2012 Timeshare Vacations Weeks Are Paid!

How We Enjoy Our Timeshare Vacations

In Hard Times We Still Manage To Take Our Timeshare Vacations. How?

Here we are again, two days until Christmas and a few more days until the end of another great year – 2011. We made it. If you are reading,  this so did you. A pause to celebrate. When we read the newspapers and sometimes the obituaries we realize how lucky we are and thankful for being alive. Yesterday, Dec. 23, 2011, we had no snow on the ground and today we do, so it will be a white Christmas after all.

This article will tell you again about our timeshare vacations and how we manage to go for 3 weeks every year and stay in 5 star resorts of our choosing. At age 70, we read about a lot of timeshare owners who are complaining about how the value of their timeshare units over the years has plummeted to nothing, and they are finding it hard to get rid of  them.  This website gives answers to a lot of those timeshare concerns. All they have to do is research this website and they will find answers to just about anything.

For example; we explain how we manage to budget our timeshare vacations in an article we titled Coffee Budget” and how we pay our timeshare vacations maintenance fees monthly and in advance. Click Here to read how we manage to drink less purchased ready-made coffee every day to pay for these three – week,  5- Star vacations.

Here it is, Dec. 23rd and we are already excited about staying at Breezy Point International here in Minnesota

Timeshare Vacations - Inside of our Pelican Greens Timeshare

the week before Memorial Day in 2012. The resort is only 2.5 hours away from our home, and we can’t wait to be back in our timeshare two-bedroom, sleeps 8 unit located on the golf course. The maintenance fees are paid in advance using our Coffee Budget” plan.  Anybody can do it if they think about it.

Another reason we can afford to take 3 timeshare vacation weeks every year is because we purchased our timeshare properties on the re-sale market for little or nothing. This we have explained in an earlier article. Click Here  for that story.  Also, check out  TUG for timeshare vacations “For Sale”.  We purchased a prime resort week at Breezy Point International Timeshare Resort earlier this spring for only $400.  It had been advertised on the TUG Forum,  and we are anticipating  the enjoyment of using that vacation week this next spring. We are looking forward to it already, as mentioned above.

I hope you have had a chance to look at some of the links mentioned in this article for answers to questions concerning timeshare vacations.

Buying A Fantastic Timeshare At Breezy Point And Feeling Guilty About It!

August 19, 2011

Following my own advice, I was doing my usual timeshare research when I stumbled upon a fantastic deeded week, listed “for sale”, at Breezy Point, Minnesota. We weren’t necessarily looking to buy another timeshare vacation property since we already owned two weeks. One of these we had gotten for “free” about 8 years ago, and the 2nd week we had purchased for only $3,000 on the re-sale secondary market from a resort we had traded into about 6 years ago in Missouri. Here is the dilemma. Read the rest of this entry »

Buying Timeshare at Age 69. Does It Make Sense?

My wife and I just purchased our 3rd timeshare vacation property at age 69! Does this make sense? Well, I guess it all depends on the circumstances, doesn’t it?

Here are the circumstances from our point of view. We have worked hard all our lives. We saved money, taking advice from financial advisers and having money taken out through payroll deductions hoping to have a nice nest egg when we retired. Well, no matter what you do, it Read the rest of this entry »
