Pelican Greens Annual Timeshare Meeting At Breezy Point, MN

Feb 2, 2012

A Report On Our Annual Pelican Greens Timeshare Meeting

January 21, 2012 Was Our Pelican Greens Annual Meeting

Since my wife and I live only 2.5 hrs away from the  RCI affiliated Breezy Point Resort in Northern Minnesota that we had recently purchased on the re-sale market.  This is the deeded Spring/Summer week we’ve mentioned in other articles that we purchased in Pelican Greens for $400. We decided to attend the annual meeting in order to be more familiar with the members of  the Board of Directors of Pelican Greens  as well as to discover more about how our maintenance fees contribute to the upkeep of our unit.

Pelican Greens Board Of Directors - Jan. 21, 2012

We were able to understand  first- hand what decisions were made concerning  the units and to add some input if we had any ideas worth considering.  What impressed my wife and I was how Read the rest of this entry »

Minnesota's "Transfer On Death Deeds" - An Answer To Avoid Timeshare Probate | minnesota transfer on death

minnesota transfer on death
January 12, 2012

Great News! Minnesota Transfer On Death Deeds

How To Use Your Minnesota Transfer On Death Deeds

I have great news for Minnesota time share owners who own deeded time share vacation weeks at any of the time share resorts here in Minnesota. If you have a concern about the transfer of your time share property here in Minnesota, without going through probate, you can download the Minnesota Transfer On Death Deeds from the Minnesota Department of Commerce website by Clicking Here.

How does the Minnesota Transfer On Death Deed differ from the Missouri “Beneficiary Deed? Well, the Missouri Beneficiary Deed can be completed naming the beneficiaries while you are alive, and it can be filed with the local court house after the death of the time share owners in Missouri. The time share property is then exempt from Missouri probate.

Now here is the difference in Minnesota. The current time share owners can name any beneficiary they want the time share property go to, have it notarized, and filed with the county in which the time share is located before the death of the current owners. In other words, my wife and I own two time share deeded weeks at two different resorts in two different counties. We must file “Minnesota Transfer On Death Deeds” letting the recorders office know who our beneficiaries are before death.

and it will take you to the Minnesota Transfer On Death page. This also applies to any other real estate property that you may own in Minnesota. It means any real estate in Minnesota will go directly to the beneficiaries and avoid probate.

This is something to think about and act upon if you own real estate in Minnesota.

Hoorah! Our Three 2012 Timeshare Vacations Weeks Are Paid!

How We Enjoy Our Timeshare Vacations

In Hard Times We Still Manage To Take Our Timeshare Vacations. How?

Here we are again, two days until Christmas and a few more days until the end of another great year – 2011. We made it. If you are reading,  this so did you. A pause to celebrate. When we read the newspapers and sometimes the obituaries we realize how lucky we are and thankful for being alive. Yesterday, Dec. 23, 2011, we had no snow on the ground and today we do, so it will be a white Christmas after all.

This article will tell you again about our timeshare vacations and how we manage to go for 3 weeks every year and stay in 5 star resorts of our choosing. At age 70, we read about a lot of timeshare owners who are complaining about how the value of their timeshare units over the years has plummeted to nothing, and they are finding it hard to get rid of  them.  This website gives answers to a lot of those timeshare concerns. All they have to do is research this website and they will find answers to just about anything.

For example; we explain how we manage to budget our timeshare vacations in an article we titled Coffee Budget” and how we pay our timeshare vacations maintenance fees monthly and in advance. Click Here to read how we manage to drink less purchased ready-made coffee every day to pay for these three – week,  5- Star vacations.

Here it is, Dec. 23rd and we are already excited about staying at Breezy Point International here in Minnesota

Timeshare Vacations - Inside of our Pelican Greens Timeshare

the week before Memorial Day in 2012. The resort is only 2.5 hours away from our home, and we can’t wait to be back in our timeshare two-bedroom, sleeps 8 unit located on the golf course. The maintenance fees are paid in advance using our Coffee Budget” plan.  Anybody can do it if they think about it.

Another reason we can afford to take 3 timeshare vacation weeks every year is because we purchased our timeshare properties on the re-sale market for little or nothing. This we have explained in an earlier article. Click Here  for that story.  Also, check out  TUG for timeshare vacations “For Sale”.  We purchased a prime resort week at Breezy Point International Timeshare Resort earlier this spring for only $400.  It had been advertised on the TUG Forum,  and we are anticipating  the enjoyment of using that vacation week this next spring. We are looking forward to it already, as mentioned above.

I hope you have had a chance to look at some of the links mentioned in this article for answers to questions concerning timeshare vacations.

Village At Izaty's - Annual Meeting - Held Dec. 4th, 2011

Izaty’s Annual Meeting

Dec. 4th, 2011,

Village At Izaty’s , Onamia, MN.

The annual Izaty’s timeshare owners association meeting was held on Dec.4th 2011. This was the 2nd time that we were able to attend in the last 10 years. The resort is only 3.5 hours from our Minnesota home and on a Sunday, making it convenient for owners to attend who were interested in the status of the resort and their own timeshare vacation units.

The meeting was held in the timeshare owners resort clubhouse.

The Village At Izaty's Association Club House, Onamia, MN

The meeting was well attended and very informative. The good news to everyone was that the association dues would not be increasing in the year 2012. We have to say that the board of directors , the resort manager and office staff are doing an excellent job of making sure that Izaty’s remains a 5 Star or Gold Leaf status within the Interval International exchange system.

The original owner of  Izaty’s timeshare buildings and units is no longer a part of the timeshare units and resort. The timeshare owners who Read the rest of this entry »

Buying A Fantastic Timeshare At Breezy Point And Feeling Guilty About It!

August 19, 2011

Following my own advice, I was doing my usual timeshare research when I stumbled upon a fantastic deeded week, listed “for sale”, at Breezy Point, Minnesota. We weren’t necessarily looking to buy another timeshare vacation property since we already owned two weeks. One of these we had gotten for “free” about 8 years ago, and the 2nd week we had purchased for only $3,000 on the re-sale secondary market from a resort we had traded into about 6 years ago in Missouri. Here is the dilemma. Read the rest of this entry »
