Shell Vacations Hospitality is remodeling this famous hotel with a goal to become the most sought after timeshare in San Diego with a mixture of timeshare accommodations and hotel for the gay community and hopefully conservative timeshare owners traveling from and living in the Midwest. It will begin to undergo a $6 million renovation on Nov. 28, 2011 with completion scheduled for June 2012.
The hotel, which for years has catered to the Gay and Transgender community, will now have a timeshare-plus-hotel business model. They do not intend to change the Friday night “Happy Hour” which has traditionally been a Gay night. They are training their staff to handle any complaints between the gay community and conservative timeshare owners who exchange into the hotel.
Inn At The Park is an historic Site. Time will tell whether or not this concept will work with typical family timeshare owners. We report, you decide.
