RCI & II Resort Timeshare Experiences Is About Our Personal Experiences and Some Advice…..This year 2020 and at age 79 we still have our 3 deeded timeshare properties. More than ever, we are using them. Two are here in Minnesota less than 4 hrs away. We trust the staff at all of our resorts and more or less hunker down and enjoy our vacation weeks as much as we can. Well, that’s what we bought them for. Covid has been scaring a lot of people. So, we are living our life to the fullest.

​ My wife and I are retired, and we love our timeshare vacations. We started vacationing this way about 12 years before retirement. Our first deeded timeshare was given to us for “free” from a friend who no longer wished to use it. Our first timeshare exchange was to Treetop Village in Lake of the Ozarks, MO. We were hooked from that point on. We so liked the unique qualities of the timeshare in which we were staying that we asked the office personnel if anyone at Treetop Village had a summer week for sale. If so, we would be interested in purchasing a week. That was our introduction to the resale market and, for a very low price, it was our first outright purchase of a 2nd week of timeshare ownership.

Although, since that purchase, we have not used that unit at Treetop Village, we have used its exchange abilities in the Interval International trading system. Since that time we have exchanged to 25 different timeshare resorts in the United States and have never had a bad exchange. While these exchanges have been mostly into Interval International affiliated resorts, we have also stayed at (RCI) resorts that were dual affiliated with (II). Over the years, we have seen tremendous changes in the timeshare industry and have sat in on many sales presentations. The sales pitch pretty much remains the same. We prefer deeded timeshare property purchased on the resale market.

We may be old fashioned but

we like the original concept of one week to exchange for another week. That has worked all these years for us, exchanging our 5 star resort, 2 bedroom unit, for another similar unit. The purpose of this website is to breakdown the pros and cons of timeshare in general, and to include timeshare resorts from both the (RCI) and (II) systems.

                 Some Suggested Tips & Below 

Note: We are promoting the pros and cons of timeshare, and are suggesting that you can find really, really inexpensive vacation deeded timeshare vacation properties at smaller 5 star resorts in the (II) system such as TreeTop Village in Missouri and atBreezy Point International near Brainerd, Minnesota. We bought two weeks on the resale market and own at both 5 star resorts. Contact the resort associations directly and ask the associations office directly if they have the current list of timeshare owners who wish to sell. Usually no timeshare salesman is involved. Just the associations office personnel. They help with everything as far as transfer of title and closing very effectively.
