Minnesota, Breezy Point Timeshare Resort

A resort we would highly recommend to anyone associated with RCI.

Breezy Point Resort located within the city limits of Breezy Point, MN is a tourist dream vacation location here in Minnesota. We live 2.5 hours west of this resort not far from the North Dakota border. Although we have not been at or near the resort within the last year or two we have visited the resort many times over the years.

We watched the initial timeshare development phase start up in the 1980′s. Timesharing at Breezy Point Resort began in 1981 with the remodeling of ten individual units known today as the Chalets. An additional 222 timeshare units have since been constructed. Over the years, approximately 12,000 owners have purchased vacation ownership interests.

It was one of the first and hottest timeshare draws to Minnesotans. At one point in their initial start-up they had close to 200 salespeople selling timeshare, camp coast to coast, and campground lots. It was exciting to watch that growth.

One of the main reasons it was such a popular area is because it is only about 2.5 hours NW of Minneapolis in Northern Minnesota surrounded by pine and poplar trees and lakes. It is rich in history of memories of the wealthy movie stars and gangsters that used to stay there in the 20′s and 30′s. It was in the roaring 20’s Breezy Point became popular when Captain Billy Fawcett started Breezy Point Resort. The resort was a destination for many including Clark Gable and Carole Lombard.

The city of Breezy Point is spread out unlike any other small town in Minnesota and incorporates the Resort of Breezy Point. Although the resort has year round activities and conventions, the action really starts in the summer. If you are an RCI exchange owner and have never been to this resort, you are missing the action and activities of the summer months. Everything you could possibly want to do is available as adults with daytime and evening entertainment to activities for the kids. This resort is well worth trading into and will be a memorable experience.

The resort has 11 timeshare owners associations with over 12,000 owners. What does that mean? Well, the resort is spread out with some of the timeshare units located near or on the lake itself and some of the timeshare units located off the main resort, but within a half mile of the main entrance, with its own set of amenities but includes the benefits of the main resort. So, different kinds of timeshare units depending on location on the main resort and off the main resort with surrounding golf courses.

Note: My wife and I have over the years stayed in many of the units listed above. All excellent accommodations. We always had great fun staying and playing with friends and relatives. We would recommend that when you request an RCI exchange that you visit each of the timeshare association location units on this web page and maybe request certain units in which you might be interested in exchanging into, location wise.
