Here we go again! Another Branson, Missouri II affiliated resort that we highly recommend to anyone traveling to Missouri.
Last year, September 2010, my wife and I attended a maxi-motor scooter rally in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This would have been the 2nd trip where about 125 people who love to travel with motor scooters meet for 3-5 days of fun and entertainment.
Here we gather in Eureka Springs, AK to see who has the best looking motor scooter. Most of these motorscooters are 150 to 500 cc units.
Nothing beats riding motor scooters in the rolling and winding roads of Arkansas and Missouri. We, however, did not wish to stay at a one- room motel (yuk! ) in Eureka Springs since we own timeshare. Since Eureka Springs was only about one hour South from Branson, Missouri, we decided to use one of our timeshare vacation weeks at the Grand Crowne Resorts and invite some of our relatives and motor scooter rally friends to share time with us.
Grand Crowne Resorts in the Interval International Directory states the resort sits atop a 20-acre Ozark mountainside, overlooking the multi-million-dollar Thousand Hills Golf Course. The property is located just three blocks south of Branson’s famous entertainment district. One, two, and three -bedroom floor plans are available with whirlpool tubs, private balconies, fully furnished kitchens, and washer/dryers. Amenities such as an indoor pool, sport court, playground, and exercise room complete the resort experience.
We exchanged our two bedroom deeded week at Izaty’s Resort in Minnesota for Grand Crown Resorts. WOW! Did we get a deal. We arrived at the resort to check in earlier than the usual 4:00 PM time. Happily, our 3-bedroom condo was all ready for us.

Grand Crowne Resorts has a check-in lobby a short distance from the the main timeshare units. Unusual, but not a big problem. The check-in lobby was impressive and located on the main tourist drive in Branson so there must be a method to their operations that makes sense. Here is a photo of the lobby and check-in.
Check-in was flawless and took less than 10 minutes. Very professional personal.
The lobby was very nice and the check-in went flawlessly. The timeshare units were only about 3-4 blocks from the check-in operations.

Our first floor 3 bedroom unit was fantastic! Kitchen facilities in each unit.
We had a 3 bedroom first floor unit, and the front door was close to our car. The swimming pool was in a separate building but only about 150 feet from the front door of our condo. WOW! It was a beautiful swimming pool that was very large. Surrounding the indoor pool was a very large, outdoor patio area for enjoying the sun and the fresh air. This decision to stay at a timeshare resort rather than a single room motel at the motor scooter rally in Eureka was well worth it. We invited a couple of close friends who motor scooter with our group to stay a couple of days before the rally.
Rally friends we asked to stay at Grand Crowne with us. Phyllis and Barb. My wife Elaine and me.
My brother and his wife did not attend the motorscooter rally in Eureka Springs but preferred to stay at the resort, enjoying the many opportunities for recreation in Branson, while we were gone during the day.
My brother and his wife enjoyed the week with us with their own apartment.
Each morning Elaine and I would drive south to Eureka Springs to attend the rally. Barb and Phyllis stayed a couple of days before the motor scooter rally and than drove their motor scooters to Eureka Springs from Branson.

Folks, Grand Crowne Resort is a 5 Star Resort at which we would be willing to stay again. The indoor swimming pool just a short distance from our timeshare front door, was convenient and inviting. For anyone into tennis, there is a tennis court with high fences on top of the swimming pool building. The golf course was in full view from our balcony.
