Timeshare Owners of Sunchaser Vacation Villas In Alberta Are Screwed!
The Alberta government says its hands are tied in helping hundreds of investors in a B.C. time-share from staving off what they’re calling outrageous payment demands by a Calgary-based resort owner.
After losing civil court rulings in B.C. and Alberta over the past two years, about 1,300 people who bought into what’s now called Sunchaser Vacation Villas in Fairmont Hot Springs, B.C., have been ordered to ante up as much as tens of thousands of dollars each in back-maintenance and renovation fees, bumped up by a 27 per cent interest rate.
