Timeshare Scams – Craigslist – How to Avoid Them…

Timeshare Vacation at Lake Tahoe, NV.

We own 3 deeded timeshare vacation weeks, that we purchased for pennies on the dollar and look forward to using them every year. A couple of times we thought we might not be able to use one or more weeks for some reason or another and were tempted to advertise on Craigs List. We didn’t.

Our recommendation. Go directly to a timeshare resort and ask for a timeshare association contact office to see what you could purchase directly from the association on a foreclosed week. You don’t need to deal with a salesman. We have done this and were able to let the resort handle all the details for us.

Craigslist timeshare scams are becoming more rampant as travelers look for ways to get into their favorite resort without paying the high costs of a timeshare. Buying timeshares on ebay has grown more popular but scammers know that is far easier to get victims using Craigslist ads. Here are some important tips to know.

Retired with many years of timeshare experiences. My wife and I love our timeshare vacations. We are trying to educate the public on the value of timeshare vacation properties, providing the timeshare properties are deeded and purchased on the resale market. That's where the real value is.
